@@wildwedding how do you find the line skipped 4k60 and 4k120 quality in general? Compared to the 4k30 and 4k24 fine?

@@bladerealm124 like skipped was ugly ugly in full frame on the r5. It’s the same on the r5Ii. If you’re not doing fine mode. I encourage to have cropped on. It’s a better image.

No the comments are telling me I’m complaining, i should be grateful that the batteries even work at all, “i could afford a new camera but not new batteries”.. like how about the fact i have $1,000+ in batteries rendered useless and not a soul mentioned 24,60 or 120 would be disabled in all resolutions.

If you’re like me, I have 14 different cameras and now I’m gonna have two different batteries Systems not happy about that

I never did use third-party batteries because I don’t trust them. I still think that’s a crazy idea to not allow third-party batteries or old batteries to be used at all.

I have that effect on people. But honestly it’s because I put the monitor on the table so I kept having to look down. Fix for next time.

Me too. Low light is going to be interesting to see. But I don't think it will touch a sensor like that one.

I was frankly blown away by the quality of the HD footage when shooting in the dual Photo Video mode it’s extremely good

I don’t know I can’t see a reason to use it. I know why people might use it. I just don’t know why they use it.

@@wildwedding its good for studio or talking head. Anywhere where lighting conditions are consistent.

@@wildwedding yeah basically if you want accurate exposure the image is funky so you dont want to keep it turned on. If you do weddings I couldnt see it being useful. its too fast paced and conditions change too much.

They could, but they won’t it’s written in their manual

And if you have the batteries that don’t have the hologram on them, the pre-NH kind they will not work at all in the camera

@@byebisontv they spent money developing this new battery and now they’re gonna force you to use it. If you have one that’s from the DSLR’s the camera won’t even turn on.

And it's in the manual, so they did it on purpose. IDIOTIC.

This may be a bit of a stretch, but when Lucas was in talks with Sony to develop digital Cinema cameras in the late 90s-00s his priority was a true 24fps and it came off as if it were some major technical milestone. Makes sense as digital refresh rates tend to be in increments of 30. Is it possible that with all of the background processing the camera is doing that processing at 24fps might consume more power than 30fps? Genuine question.

@@fromquake I don’t get how that would be. Isn’t possible in HD or 4K. It’s an artificial limit to sell more of the new batteries.

@@fromquake , it MUST consume some more power to process 25% more frames per second. It would be best for an engineer, or electronics technician, to dynamically test both batteries to reveal the differences in their performance. All I see are conspiracy theories how Canon is trying to get rich selling more expensive batteries. Clearly, revenue from batteries is much smaller than selling camera bodies and expensive R lenses (the lens pricess went up with the new mount).

I knew some things were limited but this was the first video to show the 30fps only video settings. That's just insane.
